Black Friday Shopping

For this week, I figured I would talk about Black Friday (day after Thanksgiving) as it is just around the corner. If you are like me, you are on all of the sites looking at the ads that have been leaked. It is an addiction that is hard to break and you end up spending the afternoon of Thanksgiving putting together your game plan. The thing to watch out for is stores that sneak in those “deals” that don’t save you any money or they are getting rid of products that are horrible.

I come encouraging you that as you are browsing these ads, always research to make sure the items are worth the price you are paying. There are times that a product will be rated 2 or 3 out of 5 stars, but there are times that the reviews state things that you would be willing to put up with if it is 75% off.

If you are a rookie to the shopping madness contained in Black Friday, I will give you some advice about some stores. You now have to look at the times that the deals go into effect because many stores are starting to open Thanksgiving night. If you are seeking a computer or TV, you have to be willing to get in line about 2 hours before opening or in the case of Best Buy, then you have to devote like 10 hours. I have never bought anything at Best Buy on Black Friday since the lines are so horrible and the deals are rarely any better than other stores. If you can, go to a smaller town or city since it has lower lines and friendlier people.

Here is the link to the site I primarily use to look at ads:
